Alta Lake Pedal & Paddle Combo

The Ultimate Eco Tour! Pedal to Alta Lake on one of our mountain bikes, then paddle around the lake before biking back to the village.

Alta Lake Pedal & Paddle Combo

$134.99 per person

Experience the best of both worlds our Alta Lake Pedal and Paddle Combo Tour. Our combo tours begin and end at our Whistler Village location. They combine a paddling adventure with a bike ride to and from Alta Lake along the leisurely paved Valley Trail or more-advanced single track mountain bike trails.

On this tour, you will pedal to Alta Lake on one of our mountain bikes. Choose to head out on the lake on a canoe or kayak. You will journey across the lake to absorb Whistler’s dramatic mountain views from Rainbow Park, admire the original log cabins and marvel at the multi-million dollar mansions that line the lake’s shores. Paddle to the flower-filled mouth of the River of Golden Dreams before returning to your bike. Your bike will be waiting for you at the end of your paddle for you to explore some local mountain bike trails before riding back to the village.

Choose to embark on this Alta Lake Pedal and Paddle Combo tour with your own private adventure guide on a Private Guided Tour, join in on a Guided Group Tour or take the plunge and explore on your own terms on a Self-Guided Tour (prior paddling and biking experience required).

Short on time? We offer the Alta Lake Nature Paddle and Valley Bike Tours individually.

Prior paddling experience is required for self-guided tours. A rescue fee of $75 per person applies.

All prices are based on a minimum of two persons. Group pricing: 6 or more people. Child pricing: 12 years and under.

All guests are required to sign a legal release of liability waiver before participation.

“This trip is a blast! The people in the store were very friendly and our guide Serge was great, very personable and quite knowledgable about the Whistler area. As we paddled through Alta lake and the river he pointed out the various mountain peaks and suggested some of the hikes in the area. After kayaking our bikes were waiting for us and we took a tour by Green lake and Lost lake and a leisurely ride back into the Village. Serge even took photos of my son and I and emailed them to me! A great day of biking and kayaking while enjoying the beautiful Whistler scenery, this is a trip not to be missed.”

What to Bring / What to Wear

We recommend you wear clothing that you could get wet, as well as a hat, sunglasses and close-toed footwear that can get wet. It's always a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket or a warm sweater as the mountain weather can change quickly - even on sunny days! It's also a good idea to pack a towel, a change of clothes, sunscreen and a snack.

For biking, we encourage our guests to bring a hat or bandana to wear underneath the helmet for comfort/hygiene. Have your own gear? You're welcome to use your own bike/helmet on the tour if you prefer.

Don't forget your camera to capture your adventure! You can store it safely in a provided dry bag when you're not using it.

We ask that you please bring your own reusable water bottle - we're working to reduce plastic waste. Did you know that Whistler has some of the cleanest and freshest tap water in the world? Our alpine-fresh water supply comes from beautiful Rainbow Lake which is fed by ancient glaciers. However, if you require, bottled water is available for purchase at our Village Office.
